Luke’s journey to James began with hard work on a 200-acre hobby farm where nothing was done by halves—hedges by hand, lawns cut with precision, and every detail cared for until it was right. A butcher by trade for 20 years, he’s always been meticulous about standards and presentation, but his true passion has always been in the garden. Whether it’s keeping his own properties immaculate or tackling a tough gardening challenge, Luke thrives on the satisfaction of a job done properly. “I’m a bit of a perfectionist,” he admits, “and I like leaving things better than I found them.”

Laura brings her own strengths to the team, working from home as a case manager while keeping the administration of the business on track. Together, they’ve found the balance of family, work, and community that running a James business makes possible.
