For Rupesh, becoming a James Home Services franchisee was about more than just starting a new business it was about creating a life that reflects his values, passions, and future goals. After many years working as a chef, with experience in fast-paced kitchens and a sharp eye for detail, Rupesh was ready for a change. Alongside his partner April, a dedicated nurse with a gift for caring and organisation, the couple dreamed of doing something together that allowed them to work on their own terms and in a way that contributed to their local community.
“We always enjoyed working alongside each other,” Rupesh says. “We did some casual cleaning together in the past and realised how much we liked it. When we discovered James Home Services, it just felt like the right fit a trusted brand with great support, and the opportunity to build something of our own.”
Together, they launched James Home Services Interior Cleaning Charlemont, where they now deliver professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely friendly cleaning services to clients in their area. Their aim? To give every client the uplifting feeling that comes with walking into a freshly cleaned space calm, clear, and ready to enjoy.
Customer service is at the heart of their business. With over a decade of hospitality experience between them, Rupesh and April understand how important it is to be reliable, respectful, and to go that extra mile. They pride themselves on consistent, high-quality service and open communication making sure each client feels heard and cared for.
Outside of work, the couple are proud new homeowners in Charlemont and are loving being part of the community. They enjoy coffee dates, gardening, and adventures with their two border collies, Luna and Polly. Rupesh is also a talented musician and performs in his Nepalese band Kathan. He’s currently releasing original music and will soon be featured in an SBS interview celebrating his work.
While business success is a key goal, Rupesh and April are equally focused on creating a life they love. “We want to build something we’re proud of and show our future kids that with hard work and passion, anything’s possible.”
