For Mark, joining James feels like a natural extension of a lifetime spent outdoors. Having grown up on his family’s farm in the Glass House Mountains, he’s been surrounded by hard work, fresh air and growing things since childhood. His background spans decades in horticulture, farm management, and the home-garden industry—working hands-on with fruit trees, developing new varieties, and even setting up a 150-acre blueberry project. Along the way, he’s built up deep experience in sales, marketing, and customer relationships, giving him a strong appreciation for both the science of growing and the art of service. As he puts it, “I’ve always loved seeing things thrive—whether it’s crops, gardens, or people’s ideas. Helping things grow just feels right.”

After years in large-scale agriculture, Mark and his wife Jane took the opportunity to travel Australia, working in different regions and industries before choosing to settle permanently in Childers. That move sparked a desire to build something of his own again—something local, personal and rewarding. When he discovered the James Home Services model, the decision came easily. The professionalism, the brand integrity, and especially the strong support network all resonated. “It felt like joining a family that genuinely wants you to succeed,” Mark says.

With his mix of practical skills and business experience, Mark brings both precision and pride to every job he undertakes.
