Some exciting news from the James Home Services community. Our family is growing once again, and this time we’re welcoming Shayne, the newest owner of James Home Services Lawn Mowing & Garden Care – Reedy Creek. Shayne will be offering a comprehensive range of services, including lawn mowing, garden maintenance, hedging, pruning, mulching, pre-sale garden makeovers, regular mowing services, end of lease lawn mowing, green waste removal, and weed and pest spraying to the residents of Reedy Creek, Mudgeeraba, Varsity Lakes, Burleigh Heads, West Burleigh, Tallebudgera, Elanora, Palm Beach, Burleigh Waters, Miami, and Robina, in the Gold Coast region of Queensland. These services are designed to meet the needs of the community and ensure that all Shayne’s customers receive the care and attention they need.
Shayne’s journey to James Home Services has involved many different fields. Starting as a sheet metal apprentice, Shayne transitioned into sales within the telecommunications and IT sectors, and then became a professional driver. His most recent role as a training manager for a large transport company in Sydney allowed him to combine his passion for teaching with hands-on maintenance management. This experience was particularly rewarding and highlighted his ability to manage and mentor new drivers effectively.
Seeking a better lifestyle, Shayne and his family moved from Sydney to the beautiful suburb of Reedy Creek. The decision to relocate was driven by a desire to escape the fast-paced city life and enjoy a more balanced, family-oriented environment. This move north rekindled Shayne’s interest in lawn and garden care, which ultimately led him to explore franchise opportunities within this sector.
The demanding nature of Shayne’s previous role left him wanting a change from early starts and limited family time, and he began seeking a career that offered both personal fulfillment and a better work-life balance. He wanted to be there for his family, to help his partner Heidi with the daily routines of raising their children, and to be mentally stimulated in his work. His research into various business opportunities on the Gold Coast led him to discover the James Home Services franchise. The genuine and honest approach of joint owner Justin Kelly, along with the company’s commitment to maintaining a high standard of service, resonated with Shayne, that this was the right fit for him.
Shayne’s motivation is deeply rooted in his personal life. He cherishes the moments spent playing golf with his family, cooking together, and enjoying outdoor activities. His new role allows him to be present for these precious family experiences while contributing to the well-being of his community. He aims to deliver reliable, premium lawn and garden care that allows his customers to reclaim their free time.
