Meet our newest business owner – Rechel

A clean home can make everyday life feel calmer and more manageable. Rechel understands this well, and she is looking forward to helping local families enjoy that feeling through her new business, James Home Services Interior Cleaning – Eight Mile Plains.

Rechel has built a varied working life around hospitality, customer service and hard work. She began her career as a cook and waitress before gaining extensive experience in hotel housekeeping. She worked at hotels including the Sofitel, Mantra, Travelodge and Riverview Hotel, eventually progressing into a housekeeping supervisor role.

She has also helped operate a café and restaurant, worked in busy commercial kitchens and completed cleaning work for real estate clients. These roles taught her the importance of hygiene, organisation, reliability and maintaining high standards, even when the work is demanding.

Her strongest quality may be her perseverance. Rechel describes herself as hardworking and determined. When she sets her mind to something, she is prepared to keep working until she achieves it.

That determination has carried her through long working days and positions with considerable responsibility. In a previous kitchen role, Rechel helped manage ordering, trained new team members and kept things moving during busy services. She is now ready to put that energy into building something of her own.

For Rechel, starting a business is also about creating a better balance for her family. After years of working mornings, days and evenings, she wanted more control over her time and more opportunities to be present for her two children.

“It’s very important for me to have time again for the kids, and have family time as well,” she says.

Customers can contact Rechel for regular house cleaning, vacuuming, kitchen cleaning, mopping tiles & vinyl, refrigerator cleaning, bathroom toilet & shower cleaning, Mirror polishing, Bond Cleaning, End of Lease cleaning, House deodorising, Oven Cleaning, Dusting, Ensuite Cleaning, Garage Cleaning, Wall Washing, office cleaning, Commercial cleaning, and pre-sale and post sale house cleaning

Business Ownership Requires an Operating System Upgrade

As an employee, you usually work within a structure that someone else has created. Your role is defined, the priorities are set and the larger business decisions sit with somebody else.

When you become a business owner, that structure changes.
